Digital or Analog it's portable side slip tester, to turn the wheel barrow, it is leaned to one side and the wheel barrow rolls around in the direction of the lean Just like when riding car's, the vehicle is leaned into a corner, and the rolling action of the change in profile of the tyre, directs the vehicle around the corner. The curved shape of the tyre means that the section in contact with the ground has a smaller radius than when upright, causing the tyre to roll in the direction of the lean, hence turning the wheel barrow, or vehicle. This is a similar action caused by Camber on a car's vehicle.
Portable side slip measurement and adjustment is purely a confirmation that the combinations of angles set during the wheel alignment, will provide a condition where the tyres will roll forward on the road surface without slipping sideways.
Features
Zero side slip is the most acceptable measurement. A maximum side slip of 5 metres per kilometre (or 5 millimetres per metre) is generally accepted globally as an Industry standard. Some Side Slip testers identify the slippage as Millimetres per Metre, instead of Metres per Kilometre.
